I never thought I would see the day, at least anytime soon, where you would be able to write a Windows based application completely in HTML and JavaScript. That day has arrived. The Windows 8 Metro interface allows you to write applications in HTML and JavaScript and the API is not only fantastic but works like a CHAMP!

I was installing the the dependencies and SDKs for Windows Azure and Windows Phone 7 and discovered that the Win7 WIF package wouldn’t work on Windows8.

Fortunately I wasn’t stuck very long. All that is required is enabling the Windows Identity Foundation 3.5 feature in the Control Panel and you’re set.

I needed a tool that would allow me to manage my Windows Azure Table storage and came across the TableXplorer by the folks @ ClumsyLeaf software. Awesome tool.

Same blog. Different space. I spent a day or two making changes so that BlogEngine 2.5 can be deployed to Windows Azure and it’s almost complete. I have a few finishing items to clean up including using Azure Storage for Membership. Once I have the bits finished I’ll zip them up for all to download.
